Sonic 2 Long Version (which is released alongside Sonic 2 & Knuckles Long Version) is a more complete version of Sonic 2, which makes it somewhat similar to Sonic 2 Delta. This hack features four levels originally scrapped during Sonic 2's development. No levels have been changed, only added. This hack was written in hex, without the aid of any special hacking programs, because the creator uses a Mac, and no hacking tools had been released on that platform at the time of development.

Sonic And The Mystic Gems (previously known as Sonic 1 Harder Levels) is a hack made by Eduardo Knuckles and his team Harder Project of Sonic the Hedgehogon the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. The hack adds to the game a lot of new features such as the three known main playable characters, a checkpoint monitor, customizable level music playlist, a sweet and clear save data select menu, difficulty selection, a unique music menu and some other additional menus and screens which gives to the game a completely new gameplay experience.

Sonic Zeta Overdrive is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive by Mikel. Plans as of now include adding the Centisecond timer.

Sorcerer's Kingdom (ソーサルキングダム?, "Sorcer Kingdom") is a tactical RPG for the Sega Genesis that was published in 1992 by NCS Corp.[1] It was localized for North America and PAL regions by Treco.

Space Harrier (スペースハリアー Supēsu Hariā?) is a third-person rail shooter game, released by Sega in 1985. It was produced by Yu Suzuki, responsible for many popular Sega games. It spawned several sequels: Space Harrier 3-D (1988), Space Harrier II (1988), and the spin-off Planet Harriers (2000). Space Harrier was originally made for the arcades, and later saw ports to many home game systems. Space Harrier's release on the Sega Master System is notable, as there were two versions: one was just like the arcade, while the other, entitled Space Harrier 3-D was actually a sequel. It was one of the first arcade games to use 16-bit graphics and Sega's "Super Scaler" technology that allowed pseudo-3D sprite-scaling at high frame rates,[2] with the ability to scale as many as 32,000 sprites and fill a moving landscape with them,[3] along with over 32,000 colours displayed simultaneously on the screen. It also introduced a true analog flight stick for movement, with the ability to register movement in any direction as well as measure the degree of push, which could move the player character at different speeds depending on how far the stick is pushed in a certain direction.[4] The game was also an early example of a third-person shooter;[5] it was influenced by the earlier 1982 Sega game Buck Rogers: Planet of Zoom, and Space Harrier in turn influenced later 3D shooters such as Nintendo's Star Fox/Starwing in 1993.

Space Invaders (スペースインベーダー, Supēsu Inbēdā?) is an arcade video game developed by Tomohiro Nishikado and released in 1978. It was originally manufactured and sold by Taito in Japan, and was later licensed for production in the United States by the Midway division of Bally. Space Invaders is one of the earliest shooting games and the aim is to defeat waves of aliens with a laser cannon to earn as many points as possible. In designing the game, Nishikado drew inspiration from popular media: Breakout, The War of the Worlds, and Star Wars. To complete it, he had to design custom hardware and development tools. It was one of the forerunners of modern video gaming and helped expand the video game industry from a novelty to a global industry (see golden age of video arcade games). When first released, Space Invaders was very successful. The game has been the inspiration for other video games, re-released on numerous platforms, and led to several sequels. The 1980 Atari 2600 version quadrupled the system's sales and became the first "killer app" for video game consoles. Space Invaders has been referenced and parodied in multiple television shows, and been a part of several video game and cultural exhibitions. The pixelated enemy alien has become a pop culture icon, often used as a synecdoche representing video games as a whole.
