Sally Acorn in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (aka Sally in Sonic 2) is a fan-made ROM of the game Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, with Princess Sally Acorn as a playable character in place of Sonic the HedgehogThe game was modified by Sonic Retro member E-122-Psi, with additional programming and coding by other members including MainMemory, Qiuu and Snkenjoi.

Shadow Dancer (シャドー・ダンサー?) is a side-scrolling action game produced by Sega originally released as an arcade game in 1989. It is the second arcade game in the Shinobi series, following the original Shinobi itself. The game was developed on the Sega System 18 motherboard hardware. Home versions were released for the Master System and various home computers. A remake was also developed for the Mega Drive/Genesis titled Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi.

Shining in the Darkness, released as Shining and the Darkness (シャイニング&ザ・ダクネス?) in Japan, is a 1991 role-playing video game for the Mega Drive/Genesis video game console. It was one of the first RPGs released for the system, and began the long-running and multi-genre Shining series.

Known as The Super Shinobi II in Japan, Shinobi III is regarded by many as the high point of the series. It introduced a much smoother, faster style of gameplay while keeping the series' familiar trademarks firmly intact. The game marked Musashi's last appearance in a Shinobi game until Shinobi was released in 2002 for the PlayStation 2. At least two known beta versions of Shinobi III are currently in circulation, featuring almost completely different levels from the final game.

Socket the Hedgeduck is an in-progress, unofficial port of levels and assets (art, custom objects, and more) from the Sonic clone titled "Socket/Time Dominator" to the Sonic 1 engine. (The title is a portmanteau on "Socket" and "Hedgehog", since the hack contains assets from Socket shoved into the Sonic 1 engine). Sonic: The Lost Land 2 is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis by Shadow Fire. The game is comprised of 11 levels, each filled with dangers you must overcome in order to stop the plans of the maniacal Dr. Eggman. Only palettes, some slight layout changes and various other small modifications have been made for the time being, since this hack is on hold for Sonic - The Lost Land.
