Socket the Hedgeduck is an in-progress, unofficial port of levels and assets (art, custom objects, and more) from the Sonic clone titled "Socket/Time Dominator" to the Sonic 1 engine. (The title is a portmanteau on "Socket" and "Hedgehog", since the hack contains assets from Socket shoved into the Sonic 1 engine). It contains various standard platforming zones, bonus zones, and acts from the High Speed Zone as special stages, as well as various other advanced engine features and new content (such as an expanded music playlist with custom SMPS tunes, warp doors, a bonus and special stage zone feature, and much more). A sonic hack based on Sonic 1 made by Ashuro Sonic & Ashuro was released during the Sonic Hacking Contest 2016, I presented the first version of this project: The 3.0 (which I later updated to Sonic Stuff Research Group as 3.1).I received a lot of good feedback and decided to continue this project, which seemed unfinished. I decided to recast 60% of the game, improve a lot of things, I fixed so many bugs, technical problems, unfinished plans.Story :After losing once again against Sonic, Tails and Knuckles on Angel Island, Dr. Eggman in a desperate attempt will use the residual energy of the Chaos Emeralds and damage the spatio-temporal balance of their dimension.Sonic's world will find itself on the same vibratory plane as its parallel universe, that of Ashuro the badger. You all are probably expecting a story, so here it is, nice and sweet:Story:Its the Christmas season, and everyone is doing their thing. Tails and knuckles go off to celebrate Christmas on Angel Island. While this happens, Sonic decides to go back to South Island (hence the name of the hack), to celebrate and check up on the flickys. Eggman, strangely had a similar idea, but he plans to robotize the flickys, and rebuild his base. When Sonic arrives, he finds a bunch of badniks, and he immediately knows that Eggman is there. So sonic, being the hero he is, he travels out to stop eggmans plans.

Sonic the Hedgehog Brother Trouble is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive featuring Sonic the Hedgehog and Manic the Hedgehog made by MarkeyJester. The hack is notable for its overworld system, new level layouts and graphics and custom boss.

Sonic 1 The Blue Blur is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, created by Scwha. It gives each Zone totally new palettes and layouts, with the latter designed to be more difficult than those of the original game.
